Chuck Currie

Chef, Musician and Teacher

It’s no coincidence that I ended up as a successful chef and restaurant consultant. I started playing the clarinet at school and cooking with my mom when I was 12. I’ve been doing the same wonderful things as long as I can remember and it is only when questioned about my dual careers late in life that I’ve reflected upon it. Cooking and music are both an equal combination of science and art. They are each team sports where no one loses, and they help develop a fully rounded person. Educators look at music as an “academic sport” and what can develop you more than that?
