You’ve done it! You’ve finished your studies, received your teaching certification, and landed a job teaching music!

Maybe you’re taking over an existing program from another teacher. Maybe you’ve been tasked with building a new program from scratch. Or maybe your role lies somewhere in between, like starting up a new class or a new ensemble within an established music department.

Whatever situation you find yourself in, you probably have a lot of questions.

We can help!

In this interactive professional development workshop, pre-service and early career music teachers will have the opportunity to learn from seasoned music educators on a variety of topics, including:

  • How to get a new ensemble up and running
  • The difference between starting (and leading) different ensembles (e.g. concert band vs. choir vs. jazz band)
  • How to build support for your program within the school
  • How to build support for your program in the community
  • How to grow your music program
  • And more!

Registration is FREE, and participants will receive a detailed resource guide following the workshop.
