The young musicians from these ensembles and programs across the country will help get you into the holiday spirit!

The Edmonton Youth Choir presents Good Cheer on December 8th at 7:00 pm, and in St. John’s, Newfoundland there are two chances to see the Holy Heart Performing Arts Certificate Program’s production of A Christmas Story: The Musical.

Celebrate Chanukah on December 9th with ChanukahPalooza in Thornhill, Ontario, featuring young performers from the Ovation! Performing Arts Academy. If you’re in the Vancouver area, check out the Richmond Delta Youth Orchestra’s Holiday Concert at Aberdeen Centre on December 9th at 1:30 pm, or take in A Celtic Christmas at 7:30 pm, presented by the North Shore Celtic Ensemble of North Vancouver. And in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, the Yellowknife Youth Choir presents the 40 Below Christmas Show.

On December 10th and 11th, young musicians from Whitehorse, Yukon will present Music for a Winter’s Eve, featuring a variety of wind and jazz ensembles from local middle and high schools.

The Toronto Children’s Chorus presents Comfort and Joy on December 12th at 7:30 pm, and Children of the World at 2:00 pm on December 15th.

On December 14th join the Confederation Centre for the Arts of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island for Arts Education Celebration: Light Up the Dark!, a celebration of the winter solstice, at 7:30 pm. Meanwhile, the Hamilton Children’s Choir will lead a carol sing-along on the same day at 7:30 pm as part of Hamilton, Ontario’s annual ArtCrawl, and the Winnipeg Boys’ Choir presents Veni, Veni at 7:00 pm.

On December 15 the Amabile Choirs of London present the first of two holiday concerts, Lights! Camera!… Christmas! at 7:30 pm. The second, entitled Gloria! Celebrating the Christmas Music of John Rutter, takes place on December 16th at 2:00 pm. Across the country in Calgary, the Calgary Youth Orchestra presents Sounds of the Season at 7:30 pm.

Also on December 16th,the South Saskatchewan Youth Orchestra invites you to the SSYO Christmas Brunch and Concert, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm in Regina, Saskatchewan, and in our nation’s capital, the Ottawa Regional Youth Choir performs Christmas Excerpts from Handel’s Messiah and more at 2:00 pm.

And on December 22nd, the Orchestre symphonique des jeunes de Montréal presents a Christmas Concert in Saint Donat at 4:00 pm.
