For young musicians aiming for a career in the music industry, the focus is often on practicing, performing, and becoming the best musician they can be.

But there’s more to a career in music than just making music.

In this workshop, participants will learn all about the business of being a musician from a panel of youth musicians currently working in the music industry. Our guest speakers will share advice and lessons learned from their experiences in a variety of areas, including:

  • Finances
  • Taxes
  • Getting gigs
  • Marketing and promotion
  • Producing your own music
  • Producing your own events
  • Grants and other funding sources
  • Branding
  • Social media
  • Finding your niche
  • Valuing yourself as a professional

Registration is FREE, and participants will get a sneak peek at a new Youth4Music resource for youth musicians!
